They NEED to have lightsaber sounds come out from the wiimote as you play... seriously

thats the thing, i would be more inclined to think they will inevitably just button map motions and fack us all over, due to a variety of reasons...

Star Wars is the most mainstream Sci-Fi, but once you compare it to The X Files, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, or Babylon 5, the quality definitely isn't there.

Same here. I get Star Wars games for story, anyway. Gameplay's secondary. I hope it's a great mix of both like Knights of the Old Republic.

I'm skeptical of its success, yet praying it works at the same time...The wiimote doesn't have a gyroscope...only accelerometers. They measure forces, not rotation. The rotation is calculated using gravity, but as soon as you start swinging the wiimote...The readings are all distorted and crap. Perhaps it will be something like wii baseball though, where it reads the rotation, and swings when you go fast, just to fix itself when it slows down enough...I hope they pull off the controls...
