Actually, I find it surprising. The 360 has had the same headstart everywhere else, and the Wii has still overtaken it. This leaves two interesting options:

Why would you find it suprising? The Wii has only sold better than the 360 WW due to Japan. The US, UK, Ireland and most other countries have the 360 in the lead for LTD. The Wii has so far overtaken the 360 in: Japan, France and Germany.
