If all the colors were available here, and if I didn't already have a white one, I would probably be very tempted in the navy blue one, though I really like the look of the white one.

dark blue was a color of nintendo's systems since the N64. why not release the dark blue DS light in the US.

maybe they need to solve the supply issue first, especially in Japan. the DS got the navy blue though.

The Gamecube was indigo (purple).

They'd always show purple in the ads and promotions though, so it was sort of the official color.
