PS3 is playstation 3.0 (plus motion sensing and blu-ray)

Xbox 360 is xbox 2.0 (plus achievements and whatnot)

Face it, nexgen is meaningless. It is simply the next generation.

the wii is a gamecube. upgrading a pc from a P2/GeForce1 to a P3/GeForce2 didn't make it stop being a DX7-class performer; it just allowed for improved texture quality/effects, frame rates, and a resolution bump. The GC->Wii "upgrade" is the same thing -- the Wii would need to be an exponental improvement, not a simple geometric one, to be "next-gen" and perform "next-gen" level visual/physics/AI processing.

NexGen usually means an upgrade in graphics, gameplay, new technologies and problems made by the last console.

Wii fails in graphics so it cannot be considered nexgen.

Next-gen doesn't exist, it's a stupid thing to say "the wii is not the next gen" Yes it is, it was released after Gamecube, therefore is the next gen!

Give me a solid definition of what "next-gen" is.

but I don't think FF13 boosts PS3 that much in Japan.
Final Fantasy brand itself is getting weaker and weaker.
besides, the tendency is changing in Japan.
