| What on earth is this failboxfest going on in here? ![]() The console bombas horribly in the JPN territory because the Japanese are aware, as apparently the USAmerican gamer is not, that it is made of fail and lose, and has only one game. If you want my sales predictions based on Tanis' list, I'm pretty sure that you'll see the exact same Blue Dragon pattern of: -spike to PSP-level 30K for the week on hardware, then -a rapid drop back to the correct sub-5K/wk level repeated once for each of those games. For those of you who have some mathematics, "Dirac Delta Distribution" would be the appropriate description. And finally, what JPN dev support? hahahahaha Aside from Capcom playing with moneyhats to churn out their version of "Western games", what does M$ have coming? Squeenix gives them...Slypheed. Namco gives them....idolm@ster and (maybe) Air Combat. failbox2 is dead in the water in JPN, and I'm thinking it might not even break 0.5M at the end of this gen. Thank the lord for the Japanese gamer saving the world every week. Bless them all. |

| I won I won! ![]() I'll enter again next week but not just yet... I need to go away and refine my market analysis techniques... pinch of salt here, etc. Anyone else get this weird feeling Japan doesn't like having a console in the living room any more? Those portable numbers are insane. A Man From Japan, DS Lite aside, is that any kind of trend?

If Japan begin to be tired about WII it's perharps a good news for others country (CANADA, SWEDEN) where WII are really hard to find. Lesser demand in Japan = More units available for others country? |

| They're going to Europe this month to wreck the PAL PS3 launch so the boot can be put to Sony's neck. Iwata knows he has Japan in the bag

what he said they've been purposely holding back on EU units for the last few months to stockpile and stiffed japan a little this week. EU has the worst shortage problem yet and nintendo plans on wrecking the PS3 launch with a wave of wii units just before launch. will it work? maybe, maybe not... but that's what is happening.

the next big one for PS3 is Everybody's Golf. for Wii it's Super Paper Mario. They still need time. Let's wait and see. As for PSP, Monster Hunter 2nd still affects PSP sales, which is quite surprising. |
