| If this is just because of stock limitations then ok, fair enough. But if it's not (and those numbers seem ridiculously low for launch allocation, even for PS3) then it looks like Sony might be in for a rough ride in Japan.

| Does anybody ever wonder why Sony consistantly has issues meeting manufactoring expectations? This is exactly the same thing that happened with the PS2 launch, but worse. You think Sony would have learned a thing or two in the last 5 years. It makes me wonder if they purposefully release the system too early fully knowing they don't have the stock. To be fair, there were similar sell-outs of the 360, but that was last year. Sony had a full year after the xbox dropped to prepare for launch and it still feels very rushed. Nintendo is going to own this xmas just due to the low price point and available stock. Next year, who knows? // cybereality |

| Sony has a problem with mass production of PS3. In Japan we have no thanksgiving, Black Friday nor whatsoever. the most important day is Christmas. So I guess Sony keeps stock for Christmas. Unfortunately the cheaper model(20GB) of PS3 is not in great demand. I often heard that this model is in stock in many shops. I don't know if it's true, though. |
