Default Street Fighter 4 Details...

Street Fighter IV Blowout from 1UP.com

Looks pretty cool

Though the screenshot doesn't answer this question outright, we can confirm that the game's graphics are polygonal but the gameplay is strictly 2D. There will be new moves, locations, and gameplay features, while the standard six button control scheme remains. Ryu and Ken return along with Chun-Li and Dhalsim, but beyond that the character roster is a mystery. And then there's the issue of what platform(s) the game will end up on, which at this point Capcom is keeping close to its chest (if you search 1UP's database, you'll find listings for arcade, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions, but those are just guesses based on the graphical quality).
Hope this isn't just a good looking version of EX, that shite 3D/2D version from years back. The graphics do look fucking sick though.

Brazilian gaming blog Blogeek says that they have some new, unreleased details on Street Fighter IV. Normally, these sorts of rumors would be dealt with a snort, a dismissal and a "you're not 1UP!", but Blogeek's got the unreleased screen shots to back it up. They're both similar to the screen via 1UP that was unleashed today, set in the same Chinese market, but happen to feature Ryu's counterpart, Ken Masters. That would either make Blogeek extremely adept with a PhotoShop stamp tool or lend weight to their credibility.

Fortunately, reader Douglas was kind enough to help us out with a translation of the leaked (and still rumored) details on the game. According to Blogeek, Street Fighter IV will take place some time between Super Street Fighter II Turbo and Street Fighter III, which makes the return of Chun Li and Dhalsim more understandable.

The site also mentions that the game will run at 60 frames per second, pretty necessary for fighting games of this kind, and confirms online play.

Gone is the parry system, they say, as it will be replaced by a canceling system dubbed either "Saving" or "Revenge." On the offensive side, an "Ultra" move will be available as well as the "Super" moves in the style of Super Street Fighter II.

What we don't quite believe, though, is the rumored inclusion of Sheng Long. Take it all with a grain of salt, but we're willing to believe for the time being.

A second pic, featuring Ken's hurricane kick is also at Blogeek.
Rumor: More Street Fighter IV Details, Pics

Saw it this morning, I guess this answers the "will it be 2d or 3d gameplay" question. It definitely still looks beautiful.

!!!

Pretty killer. Wouldn't surprise me if the new arcade cab is a ps3 in a box. (This happened before right? I can't recall which game though)

Sega's Model 3 hardware was basically a slightly souped up Dreamcast, and the TriForce Hardware is comparable to the Gamecube.

Tekken 6 possibly has some PS3 hardware, I posted a video that had the XMB appearing on screen.

Is Ryu wearing a codpiece in that shot, or is he just... ahem... "happy" to be back?
