Yeah I couldn't do the first HL either. It was pretty frustrating.

I completed Half-Life, and as much as I love it, it's not a patch on Half-Life 2.

That said, I would like to play Half-Life Source

Black Mesa Source will be interesting, if they ever finish it.

Half Life Source is just the original game driven by the new engine. There's no real visible difference.

I hope BMS is finished soon, I've played half life mods for over 5 years without actually playing through the actual game. I would try and finish it many times over those years, but i usually only got a bit further. With BMS i'd really have no reason to not play through the first game.
