Off the top of my head:

The Mummy Returns (PS2)
This was an impulse rental, but it panned out pretty well. It's not the best game in the world, but it's a pretty solid platformer, and the boss fights were pretty cool, with good production values considering it's a movie spinoff.

I try to avoid current-gen games that get rated poorly, and in the many cases where I've tried anyway them I usually find that the reviewers are often at least mostly right.

Actually I think Episode I is the only good film from the prequel trilogy.
I thought Episode II was the best. Mainly because of my Boba Fettish I guess. Episode III was terrible though IMO...

These games are not considered "bad" Games. They are infact, good games.

I found the weapons and magic new and intresting. The AI was decent, the gfx were great..... now if only they could fix the framerate, clipping and texturing problems it may have been much better. The story is pretty generic but workable. It isnt a great game, but I hardly felt it deserved the ZOMG ITS HORRIBLE rep that it got.

Another two that fall in that catagory are also 360 ones, Shadowrun and Quake 4. Shadowrun wasnt what the hardcore RPG crowd wanted nor was it an FPS fans domain, so it largely was overlooked and rated poorly. The lack of singleplayer is shameful but over all its great fun. Quake 4 had some major texture issues and framerate stutters on release, for both 360 and PC, but the PC version was fixed right away. The 360 version kept its issues long enough for people to start avoiding it. However they did patch it and they did a good job of fixing it. Of course now PC's with fast vidcards can run it smoother but as of a 2006 it ran it better and smoother then the MAJORITY of PC's out there.

I really enjoyed Star Trek Legacy, although it was given really poor reviews. I also really like Mario and Sonic

I liked Virtua Racing for the Megadrive, which was waaaaaay too expensive and my parents were upset when they found out I spent my grandma's christmas money on that game.

COD3

Everyone hated that game, but I thought it was great. The MP maps made it a gem.
