The only flaw I see in the iPhone is no 3G. In reality I don't know what 3G is but I know it is the new technology and I'm actually surprised the iPhone doesn't make use of it.

3G has actually been available in the US for years, its a sin for Apple's iPhone to not include it.

Then again, that's what you get when you release it on AT&T instead of a company like Verizon or Sprint that actually have their act together in terms of data when you get a phone. ALL of the phones you can get through them are 3G Equivilent. Its not called 3G there though, but 1xRTT or EVDO if you get one with the newer, faster data standard for CDMA networks (which most of their phones support anyway) but even 1xRTT is comparable to 3G in speeds, and EVDO comparable to HDSPA in speed (which AT&T has just started rolling out last year, EVDO's been around for like 3).

I have a strong dislike for AT&T though. Their subsidiary Southwestern Bell screwed me over pretty hard, they want a 500$ deposit just to activate a cell phone with them, and their prices and data services are poor compared to the other 2 carriers that provide service in my area, US Cellular and Sprint. I went with Sprint personally because I can get a cheap rate for them because I work for them, though they dont cover this area near as well as US Cellular did, I would have went for them if not for my rate plan. Both of them only required a 150$ deposit in comparison.

It shouldnt be up to 3rd party devs to provide things that should have been there out of the box. Besides, this is Apple we're talking about. They'll more than likely lock down the iPhone completely, so performance critical applications such as video recording, won't have anywhere near the performance required, if the devs even have access to the camera at all.
