True, but a ridiculously high failure rate doesn't help sales at all. I think it most certainly would contribute to the lack of sales in some way. I think that's really hurting the 360... even the current 16% is still too high for what it should be. :|

It could be argued that the EU and the US provided enough examples of that... but then we'd have to figure out how many Japanese pay attention to the sales of a console in other countries... and that couldn't really be answered. Yeah, the lack of people actually having to witness the failure of the console is something I didn't consider

Negated. 360 launch was simultaneous. Or all within on week or something like that.

Not saying it hasn't effected some peoples opinions now, I'm sure it has. But it didn't cause the lack of solid sales at launch.
