| Well there was a lot of great games on 360, it had the best lineup of all the systems last year IMO. But I still think Microsoft must have moneyhatted them, it just seems so unlikely that a system would be so "critically acclaimed" and yet be a critical failure. Either that, or the hardcore gamers in japan that we heard so much about playing arcade games and MMOs and such all day long are actually a fairly small minority in the country, and Famitsu's among them. Then again, given they are a gaming editorial magazine that would have a more refined taste for games than a lot of the japanese consumers, maybe the american games they are getting over there that seem so commonplace in our neck of the words are a rare and refreshing game experience to them, kinda like how Japanese games have been here sometimes.

| this doesn't surprise me. Even in the country that hates it, the 360 STILL has the best game library. I told you all, it's not a matter of opinion, the 360 has the games, plain and simple. Too bad it's gonna finish third. Best 3rd placed console ever. |

| Very true, apart from the failure rate. Are newer systems really more reliable?

| Microsoft just doesn't have all the keys to succeed in Japan this generation. They need good word of mouth and good reliability. The brand image is tarnished. You can have all the best games in the world but it won't make a difference is the culture looks at your console with disdane. Oh well, I love my 360 and that's all that matters.

| 16% is still too high. An acceptable rate would be 3% or less for a console to fail before its warranty.
