Capcom Reveals Life-to-Date Series, Game Sales : Next Generation - Interactive Entertainment Today, Video Game and Industry News - Home of Edge Online

As part of its recent impressive fiscal year results and ahead of its 25th year anniversary in June, the Japanese publisher has released a host of revealing software sales figures.

As of May 22, 2008, the Resident Evil series of games, comprising of 50 titles, had notched up 34,500,000 sales, nearly seven million more than the Mega Man series and almost ten million more than the Street Fighter franchise.

The company has also seen 46 of its titles go platinum, with Street Fighter II for the Super NES leading the way with 6,300,000 units sold.

Capcom is a great game company. I would've thought they'd have more platinum titles than that though.

I actually thought Monster Hunter would be higher up on the list but I guess that's only in Japan. But Megaman... 120 titles? Wow.
