| Alright, I've got a large trip coming up, and I need to have something to pass the time. I need to decide between a DS and a PSP. What I need is suggestions of non-casual good games for each system. I don't really care about the handhelds themselves, or their capabilities, so please limit it to the games. And... go.

| One one hand, you have Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. On the other, you have Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops.

EDIT: Yeah, I didn't think about the handheld section until after I'd posted... my bad.

| Well if anything, the PSP games are big and take a lot of space when traveling, so you might want to consider that. And since I don't own a PSP, I can't really speak about the good games it has, so I'll limit my list of games for the DS, though I'll still list games that some may consider casual.. because really, it's a subjective opinion ![]() Puzzle games: - Tetris DS (classic with new game modes added, plus online) - Meteos (addictive like you have no idea) Strategy: - Advance Wars: Dual Strike (that game alone can boost over 100 hours of gameplay easy) - Age of Empire II (though turn based and simplified, still keeps most of what makes AoE a great strategy game) Action/platformers: - New Super Mario Bros (like the classic, with more powerups and better visuals) - Sonic Rush (Sonic just is best in 2D) - Castlevania (both of the DS ones) - Yoshi's Island RPG: - FFIII - Mario&Luigi: Partners in Time - Lunar Knights Others: - Mario Kart DS - Animal Crossing: Wild World - Elite Beat Agents (not a good suggestion if you are to play in the car though, bumpy rides and rythm games is not a good mix) Oh, and I moved this to the handheld section just cause |

I'm not really sure what genre you're looking for though. If it's RPG, Brave Story: New Traveler. Loco Roco may look really casual, but it's a pretty good, fun game. Kind of tricky. Daxter and Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters are good platformers and Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror is also supposed to be good.

| DS without question. Lots of great games already posted, long ass battery life too which makes it perfect for long trips.
