Cool PSP Custom Firmware and Homebrew

So, what firmware/hombrew does everyone have? I'm waiting on my 4GB Sandisk to arrive before I install 3.40 OE-A and some homebrew. I'm kind of curious as to whats available out there. It seems the more I look the more I learn about. It's amazing all the stuff the PSP can do...

Also, does anyone know how to customize the XMB? I've seen it before but I can't seem to find a guide on how to do it.

I don't really use homebrew on my psp, I mostly do it on DS but I wouldn't mind a cool interface mod.

What types of things do you use homebrew for? I'm sure if it's out for the DS there is probably a PSP varient (and vice versa). I'm really trying to get idea of what all is out there.

Nothing really extreame, I use it for MSN, AIM and windows on ds. I'm pretty sure PSP can do AIM and MSN but it's easier for me to touch the mini qwerty based keyboard then scroll through. Plus it loads pretty fast and is nice. I use my DS for snes games too (play them in class) since PSP is harder to hide when teachers near me.

Edit: I wanna learn how to make custom psp firmware that'd be cool I think.

Yeah, the touchscreen would be nice for portability. However, this seems like it would be nicer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMzl3ELO9jE

What do you mean Windows on DS? Like VNC? Can the DS do that?

SNES, Genesis, Gameboy Advance emulators work well on the PSP. Mine is currently using PSP version 1.50 downgraded. I should upgrade with all the new hacks one of these days.

My dang memory card still hasn't arrived in the mail yet. I don't understand how USPS takes longer to deliver from Wyoming the it does for Georgia to Illinois... And my longer I mean my PSP arrived on Wednesday... Essentially my PSP is pointless without it. I can't upgrade to any of the firmwares or put any homebrews on it.

If you have a memory stick already (the console should come with one) you can do the downgrade and then use the new memory stick for the homebrew. The firmware isn't tied to the memory stick.

I have 3.52 M33-4 on my 2GB mem stick. You can customize the XMB like this.

And the best is Sony ISO Loader .

Hope you understand my foreign tongue.

Yeah it's just a windows port to DS, same with linux but Linux is pretty complicated for me.
