You should always start with the earlier games in any series so that there's no chance for you getting lost in the story. Kind of like how I refuse to get Mario Galaxy until I finish Mario Sunshine.

yeah but sunshine has no story

and you really could play galaxy without missing anything

in fact it was because of sunshine that Chibi had no excitement about Galaxy

While thats usually true, sometimes the first ones are just bad. So bad, that they're not worth playing... And some games don't even relate stories, FF...

the KH series has an actual story line, and the 1st game is good
