Only way I would see myself getting this is if it has a noticeably larger screen and greatly improved battery life.

But I also doubt this rumor because of the reasons stated above.

Really bad rumors.

I'd rather see a better GBA port.

the new unit would cut the Game Boy Advance port altogether
olololo.

GBA and GBASP play GB, GBC, GBA games. GBM doesn't play GB or GBC games. Gameboy Player plays GBA games, single player only, no GB or GBC. DS Phat and DS Lite play DS games and single-player GBA games, no GB or GBC. DS Liter plays DS games, no GBA, GBC, or GB.

Meh, original Gameboy only really had Super Mario Land/2 (one of the worst sidescrolling Marios), PokeGod, God's Awakening, Tetris, and that godly and hard to find Donkey Kong sequel which rocks your balls off.

I want to play God's Awakening, but I can't.

And then you have GBC games as well.

Gameboy Color had a better library with Dragon Warrior 3, both Zeldas, etc., but it wasn't until Gameboy Advance that a crapload of great games started appearing.

Oh yeah, Harvest Moon. Little elves sitting around in caves giving you free shrooms every day FTW.
