If rumblings begin about Sony planning another handheld, Nintendo might do what they did before, as in a preemptive strike.

Only leaves Microsoft (for the purpose of this poll) as the other two HAVE released a portable console. Now if it was worded, "Who will release the next portable gaming device?" Then of course that is refering to who will release the next one on market.
You know what i mean, quit being a Kiss-ass,

Well I dont think Microsoft are going to produce a "Portable Gaming device". Reason being they would of done it already, if they were interested in joining the Handheld world.

You 've got balls of steel.

And yeah, whoever picked Nintendo is crazy. Why would they make another handheld is the DS is selling like ice cream in a heatwave.

I pick Sony. They needs to fix lots of PSP stuff.

Apple file loads of patents. They usually never amount to anything.

Companies do that all the time, but who knows. They might bring more 'real' games into their iPods.
Current iPods can do this: Apple - Games - iPod - Sonic The Hedgehog
I don't see why next gen iPods won't be more capable

I'm aware of that, that's why I said next gen iPods

But it really rolls down to this, will Apple sacrifice battery time on their iPods so they can support better games or not?

Edit- Just checked around and it seems the iPod has more MHz than the Nintendo DS, so maybe there is still more to be tapped?

I've found it here : What processor does the iPod, iPod mini, iPod nano, iPod touch, and iPod shuffle use? @ EveryiPod.com

According to them plenty of iPods have ARMs rated at 80 MHz or above.

The Nintendo DS has two ARMs one for DS games rated at 66 MHz and the other for backward compatibility with GBA rated at 33 MHz.
