Default Who's Next?

Next Corporation to release a Portable Handheld Console?

Sony have given us the Playstation Portable.

Nintendo have given us the DS Lite.

Microsoft have given us... (tumbleweed blows across).

Had to pick Sony.

But I can see a future wherein Microsoft combine the Zune, PDA, 10,000 other pieces of handheld electronic flim flam into something marketable that plays games.

Xbox back in the days of Peter Moore promised a game playing Zune. Basically a Zune that was to be designed similar to the PSP. Portable media and gaming. Of course it never happened but, I hope it does. At least to have it come out with the Xbox 720 to have remote play features like the PSP/PS3 combo would be awesome!

I always thought that the next step for Apple from the iPod was the iGame, but they brought us the iPhone.
The Apple Pippin was an epic failure, but if Apple want to grow more they should get into games. iPods already play game and they are getting better at it, but why not take it to the next step?

All of that aside, I think Microsoft should go into the portable market once their console is profitable, having two loss makers at the same time is risky business.

So I believe next in the handheld world in another one from might Nintendo.

Wow, mixed Opinions. A close poll or what.

I personally voted for Sony because i think they are eagar to be the first to release new technology of some sort on a handheld system. Something along the lines of, HD portable gaming, or Quad screen would be cool.

I picked Nintendo, just for my gut feeling. I mean, the PSP slim is still new, and the DSL has been out for longer, so *shrug*.

Honestly the way the question is worded..

"Who will be the Next corporation to release a Portable Console?"

Only leaves Microsoft (for the purpose of this poll) as the other two HAVE released a portable console. Now if it was worded, "Who will release the next portable gaming device?" Then of course that is refering to who will release the next one on market.

If Sony were to release a PSP 2, they'd still qualify for being "the next corporation to release a portable console/gaming device etc.".

Am sure it wont be nintendo cause DS lite is a smooth money mashine and they would like i guess to exploit it as much as posible.
