Need some good DS games

Ok, so in about a month, March 20th, I'm leaving for Italy for like...11 days, and for the plane ride there, since it's around 13 hours I believe, I'm gonna want a good game or two.
The only game I have right now is Pokemon, which I've already quite thoroughly beaten, I guess I could restart it.
But, really, what games would be good?
I'd prefer some type of rpg, or a game you know you could lay for 13 hours straight and not get to terribly bored. But any game suggestions would be fine.

Oh you bastard. I wanna go to Italy more than any other foreign country.

I dunno... Hourglass is pretty long. Then there's the usual suggestions like New Super Mario Bros. and Mario Kart DS. I don't really know much about good 3rd party titles though.

Izuna is a great DS rpg type game. Etrian Oddysey is fun as well if you are into old school difficulty dungeon crawlers.

As for the best game on the DS though, it has to be Contra 4. Go pick that up if you don't have it yet. I'm still not bored of it.

I'd prefer a more. I'll look into the games dust suggested though.
I'm honestly not a big fan of Zelda, so I probably won't get that, haha. sorry.

I'm also gonna look into advanced wars and FFXII Revnant.

Get the new advance wars if you can't find Dual Strike cheap enough, it has wifi and though the graphic style is not as good as other Advance Wars game, its still pretty good, and the gameplay is beefier.

I'm definitely looking at Advanced wars, I don't care which one. I'll go to gamestop and check to see if they have a used version of dual strike, if not I'll get Days of Ruin probably.
I'm also looking at worms, I love worms oh so much, and Final fantasy. I'll probably get two.

Final Fantasy 3's good, but only if you like old style RPG's. I put nearly 70 hours into it though, so it's maybe not what you're looking for.

I've recently ordered Dementium:The Ward and Nanostray. Dementium, seemed like it would be good for a flight.

Contra's a must have, but I'm waiting for the Japanese release next month.

Dementium is a pretty good game. The only problem is the save system is awful. I can't finish the game. Basically, if you die, you have to restart the entire chapter over again. It's not like old school punishing difficulty games; it's just a really bad idea that ruins what would be a fantastic game.
