Mario Kart DS Tourney March 2008

I think we should do a Mario Kart DS tourney this month, had a lot of fun with this game.

Not certain if we should have any regulations (such as can't pick unlockable carts and characters, or racing a set track list, or if snaking will be considered valid) or if it should be just free for all. Let me know what you think, as you sign up. Would like to get at least 8 signups, preferably 16 or more. I'll determine how the brackets will work once signups are finalized. We'll say you have to signup by the 12am Midnight March 8th Central Time to sign up for this, so that we can allow like a week or 2 to do the tourney itself, sine we all probably have different schedules. It will be up to the 4 player group in each bracket to determine the time to get on and share friend codes with each other. If you wanna sign up but dont know how to get your friend code or get your DS working on WiFi, let us know, we'll help.

Alternately, we may do a round robin system, where each player will play with 2-3 sets of 3 other players, and points from each game series will be tallied. This will allow everybody a chance to play throughout the tourney instead of being eliminated, but on the down side, point tally verification will be required from the players for this system to work properly, they can either elect a trusting person to report for them or can collectively report it.

It would be up to the people that get grouped up to decide the best time for them. If he's concerned about something like "Waking the parents" he can turn the volume off or plug in headphones.

Where I was going with my post was if Europeans are zombies, cheat at mario kart, or something like that, which would hinder the tournament.
