Final Fantasy XII Revenant Wings

I just got my dirty little hands on this game, anyone got any good tips to share with me now when I start to play??

Now that I have played it a bit I honestly got to say I'm disappointed

It's not a bad game but the story doesn't catch me I find myself more than often just clicking past dialogues with other characters and the story's not that intriguing. And I don't like the combat system at all.

I compare this to FF3 in which I talked to every character I got hold of because I wanted to know as much as possible and overall the story (even if it was simple as hell) drew me in, I wanted to know about the characters. And I liked the classic FF (even if it was archaic) combat system of FF3 way more. In FF3 (NDS) I have probably put 60+ hours.

To me it's a mystery how FF12 could score 8,3 at IGN.
And a even bigger mystery how it could score better (on IGN) than FF3 that was a much better game IMO (despite the archaic gameplay).


But I haven't given up on it yet I will give it some more time maybe I'll change my mind.

I didn't like FFXII so I'm not really interested in a sequel. And reading your comments I'm now sure that I wont like it. I loved the original FF titles, like FF3, and I don't believe that the new FF titles are as good as the originals (NES, SNES and PS1 titles).

I played it and all i have to say is, i should have spent my money on the DS version of COD4

I think I agree with you

Well seems like I have to stick to the remakes of the old classic FF games (soon FF4 goes on sale)
