Default Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver thread

General Information:

Release Date: USA: 2010
............. JPN: Fall '09
............. PAL: 2010

MSRP: TBA

---------

Videos:

This is the game's announcement that was aired on Pokemon Sunday. *They show the new art for the three starters too (and act like it's all earth-shattering, lol).
YouTube - Pokemon Sunday reveals HeartGold and SoulSilver Editions

Official trailer (JPN) (July 3) (Skip to 0:30): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FnaUlMsBzk
---------

Screenshots:
--------

Features:
- Diamond/Pearl/Platinum graphics and remixed music, of course.
- The Pokemon in the first party slot will follow you around like *Pikachu in Pokemon Yellow. *Face it and press A to check its mood and status. *The Pokemon may also find items such as accessories and berries as you travel around in the game.
- A wide shot of the area you're entering will be shown, like FireRed/LeafGreen.
- The trainer you don't pick as your character will be a support character like in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum.
- You will be able to access/navigate the main menu, Pokedex, and Pokemon Boxes through the touch screen.
- Legendaries from previous games, like Kyogyre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Dialga and Palkia are available through some means I'm not sure of.
- The games will be packaged with a device called a PokeWalker (image) which is a pedometer that apparently trains and raises the happiness of one of your Pokemon while you walk in real life. Occasionally minigames or wild Pokemon will be appear while you use it that affect your game. (Thanks A Man from Japan)

true but it's still cuter and seeing as without trading you can't get a bulbasuar early on...might as well use the next best thing

Wouldn't that be Bulbasaur?

Gold/Silver were great, this could be cool.

I don't like any of the starters in G/S. So much potential in each of their designs, but they are too simplistic.

I prefer the original 3 tbh. Charmander, Bulbasaur and Squirtle
