Omgosh...trying to find a Chansey with Lucky Egg is soooo hard. Let alone finding a Chansey in the first place :[

Alright...which Pokemon is better to add to a team:

Dragonite vs. Salamence

I'm thinking Dragonite for Ice Beam :\

EDIT:

Does anyone know where to find Lapras\Bagon?

I know. I caught seven or eight Chanseys and they all either had no item or were carrying an Oval Stone (I think). Annoyed me greatly.

Salamence seems to be the preferred choice from what I've seen/read.

Lapras is in Victory Road. Bagon is in Route 210, you have to use the PokéRadar to find it.

Eh...I think I'm gonna start a new team all over. One that can actually win at competitive battling.

Current team:

Empoleon
Alakazam
Pupitar
Garchomp
Infernape
Torterra

New Team?:

Venasaur
Charizard
Mudkip/Lapras
Garchomp
Electivire/Dragonite/Salamence
Metagross

Sound good?

Dude, just concentrate on beating the Elite 4 and obtaining the National Dex first. The real game begins after that.

Really...?

I just don't wanna waste time and effort training Pokemon I'm never gonna use again. The real game is competitive battling, so I must decide before the Elite Four. Or else all effort is wasted...

But, what do you think of the redefined team?

Swampert
Charizard
Venesaur
Salamence
Garchomp/Lucario
Metagross

The thing is, though, are you EV training those Pokémon? Because if you aren't, then you're gonna really struggle in competitive battling anyway. I trained a team for the Elite 4 and the main "ingame" elements, but I haven't touched them since. Because I only levelled them up as quickly as possible, their EVs are all over the place, and some most likely have detrimental natures, so they'd have their asses handed to them over WiFi.

Hell, my EV team were slaughtered in their first online game, ask Xisi. :P

Onto your revised team; I'm not entirely sure how you'll be able to accommodate all six of those Pokémon in your team, as you seem to be seriously lacking in defensive Pokémon. You may wanna look into good physical and special walls, as well as decent counters for common Pokémon and strategies- this is what I'm doing now. I completely forgot to cover common Pokémon, which can lead to them ripping your team to shreds.

But really, you won't know just how well your team works/doesn't work until you've tried it out. Your weak spots become obvious then.

Hm...lots to think about. I'll get back to you on that :P

Who's your party?

EDIT: No, I don't EV train...I'm not even entirely sure I mastered it, in fact, barely scratched the surface.

Yeah, Pokémon is a lot more in depth than you'd realise if you just played the ingame story and nothing more.

My party was (I'm changing it around now):
Umbreon
Rhyperior
Dusknoir
Togekiss
Starmie
Tyranitar
