If you mean the NGW tournament, we talked about it a month ago and decided to wait a month or so because we wanted everyone to be able to finish the game first (which takes a LONG while if you don't have a lot of free time or are playing other games), so that people could transfer their RSE/FRLG Pokes and otherwise build some sort of a team.

That sums it up. We might even hold off a bit longer even, as we have quite a few in the PAL region still waiting to get the game.

I just got the Pokerus for all my party Pokemon, including an egg. I'm pretty sure the Pokerus doesn't effect the # of steps it takes to hatch a Poke, or does it? And Q #2 is does the Pokerus just go away at random?

I'm pretty happy today. Last night I asked a friend on a forum for a lv. 1 Gastly and instead I got a Lv. 51 Gengar with Modest Nature :] With Pokerus! I immediately put it in my PC, was that right?

Today another guy is giving me a Shiny Bidoof with Lucky Egg o.O

Double EDIT: Passed 1 of my finals today. 6 more to go o.O

Or should I get rid of Hypnosis & Dream Eater? I mean, without putting the Pokemon to sleep, Gengar can pretty much be 1hKO'd...

^ What he said. Dream Eater is just a waste of a move because you'll never pull it off against anyone with half a brain. As soon as you use Hypnosis to put someone to sleep, they'll switch before you get to use Dream Eater, so you basically end up just wasting an attack.
