Though the exclusive legendaries are unlikely to be parted with by people. (Unless they're planning to cheat that is. )

Are they actually exclusive? I remember getting Lugia and Ho-oh in Gold and Kyogre and Groudon in Sapphire?

Wow, most of those names mean nothing to me which makes me feel old or something. I missed the hole of the GBA generation as far as Pokemon went since I went through my I'm grown up stage and I never really felt very attached to the Silver and Gold ones so I don't really know them... I'd probably get Pearl just to be different.

I could maybe still run through the original 151, maybe, not in order... after that, yeah... haven't a clue. A handful like those legendary ones.

I believe you can get the Pokédex entry from an NPC but the action monster is exclusive. I could be wrong, and if so someone correct me. But I don't think so this time around.

(SPEAKING of which. Lugia is my favorite Pokémon. I'm prepared to kill for one.)

I skipped the Advance generation myself. The result - there's even more new stuff to check out.
