Thanks! I actually JUST got there, and that's when I came back here to say something like "forget it, I found it", but I'm too late

I'm such a Pokémon noob

I hadn't played since Silver. This is sporting a lot new for me too. (Granted a lot of the same too. )

Aite, I'm debating whether to buy Pokemon D/P or GoW2 first. Seeing as you guys all got Pokemon, and most people got GoW2, which one is more fun?

Sorry for the slight off-topic.

Never played either GoW but I heard great critics.

I'm totally new to Pokémon... I won't be able to answer until I've given some more time to this game It's fun so far, but I feel it could get awfully repetitive.

I've beaten GoW2 on the hardest difficulty, and put 8 hours into Diamond.

Really, it depends on what you like better. For myself, Diamond is probably going to end up being the better entertainment investment because of the much longer replay and multiplayer.

A question:
How bad\slow is the animation while walking? I've heard some terrible tales about it. I just wouldn't be able to play it if the speed isn't on par with the GBA releases.

Yeah, as far as time consumption I'd say Pokémon wins by the very nature of what it is. For excitement though, GoW2 for sure.

Walking seems to be the same as the first two GB games, except that you get running shoes (hold b to run) within the first 20 minutes and you get the bicycle way earlier than any Pokémon game I've played before.

Anyone who's used to Pokémon games would like to give me some general tips as to how to play the game? Is there a better way to level up my Pokémons? Should I concentrate on one in particular or try to level them up evenly? (I currently try to have the most possible give a shot at every battle since they all get the same amount of XP no matter how many different ones battled).
