You can get both, but I wouldn't. Thanks to the wifi trading you should be able to get just about any version exclusive save for the legendary. So look at the differences (gamefaqs works) and pick the one that appeals to you the most.

LOL they are selling D and P in the games shop just down the road damn them and their importing antics :P

so do we know if it will work with a UK Wii if i get it?

US D& P won't work with the UK Wii Pokemon game, it's why I'm waiting, though ever so hugely tempted to get it from the US anyway
