I was thinking about getting one at one point

The revised design tried to save it but failed so hard still. I mean the original model required removing the battery to change games. If that's not a clear sign that no one thought this shit out I don't know what is!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gizmondo

Gizmondo plain sucked.

N-Gage could have been pretty sweet, but it was on the underpowered side (considering that the PSP came only 2 years later) and the original system design was of suck, though the QD design was decent. Also, one day, I would like to pick up one of these systems for cheap just so I can play Rifts: Promise of Power, which happens to be one of the few killer aps for the title, as well as an RPG game based on the Rifts Pen and Paper RPGs, which are just total kickass. Sega had a pretty good RPG on N-Gage too, it was the first (And still only, what's the F'ing holdup Sony and Nintendo?) Portable MMORPG game. Pocket Kingdoms I think was the name. N-Gage's last gen games were actually pretty good, too bad those games didnt come out at like Launch, it could have been ownage, but instead Nokia's 1st outings were crap like poor ports of Tomb Raider and Tony Hawk, LOL.

Well they both sucked. If i was going to compare the Gizmondo and N-Gage to a game i would compare the N-Gage to RedSteel, good idea but poor execution (eventhough RedSteel was ok and N-Gage plain sucked), and i would compare the Gizmondo to Superman 64, both ridiculously crap.

The Gizmondo had some nifty features and if they'd just been able to release Colors before everything went pear-shaped they might have stood a chance. That game would have rocked.
