There is a reason why there is no voice acting and if you ever paid attention to Zelda games there never was and never will be. For the one reason that they refuse to put words in your mouth. Link never says anything, because most of the time your already thinking it, therefor you said it, makes you feel apart of the game as apposed to some guy that plays zelda though a great adventure. I also dont see how you could call it same old same old, you can now play as a wolf, ride epona and use your sword, the moves have been polished, better graphics, new weapons, and some other stuff too. I give it a 10 just for being Revolutionary alone, what i hate is the same old 4 button two anilog 2 L 2 R D-pad controllers. Nintendo has done very well with making it diffrent every time. In fact they have aside from the portables which are even now changing , Nintendo has been beating out counsels sense it was born and it will continue to do so. | |

No voice acting is bad, IMO. It sucks that i cant use the wii though. I have a 52 in bravia in the main room and my roomate has a 32 in plasma toshiba in his. I wish nintendo wouldve embraced hd.

What would voice acting add? Seriously, i prefer to imagine how a Goron talks, or how Zelda would sound. And lets not go into the quality of voice acting in games in general. |

For me, the lack of voice acting is one of the stand-out elements of the Zelda games. Does anyone complain when Gordon Freeman doesn't speak in Half-Life/HL2? Fair enough, there is a lot of voice acting in both of those games but Gordon himself is silent for a reason. The decision not to use voice actors in Zelda may not have been an artistic one when it was made, but it stands on artistic merits. Have you ever seen ballet or modern dance? "Omg this play sucks there's no TALKING!" Pushing the point a bit, sorry, but I feel strongly about the use and abuse of sound in games, be it music, SFX or voice talent...(or lack thereof)
