ok, you probably tell me this is a stupid question, especially from someone raised by american parents, and im an ignorant british git blablablabla, but....
1. are humvees allowed on all roads? or are they classed as a wide vehicle
2. is it true that hummers set on fire when they turn over

1. There are no restrictions where hummers can go in America. The only vehicle restrictions are by weight, like by 16+ tons on some roads/bridges, so the semi's dont tear up the roads, but thats it.

2. All vehicles have a chance to light on fore when they turn over, it depends on the crash. But if a hummer simply rolls over, no, it wont light on fire

The US government specially designed the military hummer to be no larger then any road in the world, so that it can fit through those small winding roads you would find in europe and such.

Also, I know this for a fact since ive been all across Europe and other parts of the world, the roads in America are overwhelmingly wider then roads in other countries. This is partly cultural, functional, and geographical. Here we have so much space, we dont need to make our roads and cars very small and compact like they are needed to be in Europe/ Japan for example, where space is very limited. This is also why we have huge vehicles, because we have the space, and its part of our culture too.
