You know him better than any of us do, so apart from general good advice (like Rainbow and Napalm gave), it's not much more we would be able to contribute. If your gut feeling says that the topic would be too much for him, then you are probably right.

I talked to my grandfather about the subject yesterday. I told him it was ok if he didn't want to talk about it, then he just looked at me and said "your generation has to know about it so it will never ever happen again". Then we talked about it for almost 2 hr's about the subject, it was really moving to hear what him and all the others went through, just thinking about how someone could do that to human beings made me shake all over. After we had talked I felt like I had lifted this huge burden off my grandfather just by listening to him.
