Question Should I?

I have a college project about the holocaust and my grandfather was in a concentration camp from the beginning of 44 to 45, the thing I don't know if I should is ask him about it, I remember when we went down there 2 yr's ago he was so upset that I even started to cry. The reason i'm asking is wether or not I should ask him about it.

Should I?

Ask him if he's willing to tell you about his experience, let him know that if he doesn't want to talk about it, it's ok too.

Just kinda ease into it, ask him when the both of you are alone, and if he says yeah, then ok, if not, thank him and go on with vague research.

Rainbow hit the nail on the head. Be very gentle with the subject, and make it clear that if he isnt comfortable talking about it, he dosent have to and thats ok.
