 2160p HDTV - Will it be used in the next generation? http://www.gearfuse.com/westinghouse...2160p-but-why/ Will be too expensive at first, but do you think the next generation of consoles will be able to display games at 2160p? I think that would be sweet.  |

| Bleh, current consoles have troubles with 1080P right now. That's even with decreased AA and AF filtering. The move to 2160P is a 4x increase in resolution which would require a 4x increase in processing power and memory bandwidth. Considering that new consoles are still several years away, I'd hope the hardware is about 12x as fast as current hardware to make such resolutions playable with full effects and eye candy.
