They actually have 2 wins, 1 loss, and 10 goals for which is good for tied-3rd in the league.

Just watched the 1990 1st round series between Boston and Hartford on the NHL Network. Some good stuff that makes me miss the rivalries of old. 8 regular season games against division rivals doesn't come close to 7 game playoff series against two division rivals each year.

What do you guys think is the future for the NHL? Ratings suck, attendance is only medicore and teams could fold in the next 10 years. Do you think we'll see the return of Winnipeg and Quebec via St. Louis Blues, Chicago or Washington? Do you all also you think that we could see the Isles re-locate to Las Vegas or an expansion there?

Things seem to be improving. The only talk about relocation has been a place that was needing a new arena and a place that probably shouldn't have pro hockey. Chicago, Washington and St. Louis are all virtually guaranteed not to be going anywhere. They really should give up on trying to sell the game to Americans though. If they haven't taken to it in the last 85 years, I don't see what's going to change now.

First off, I laughed so hard last night at the leafs. Their fail was orgasmic.

Secondly, Bettman is a tool when it comes to potential markets. Winnipeg is begging for a team back. Not only that but Hartford desperately wants the Whalers back, why not give them it? Instead he approves deals to send teams to places without a market, like Las Vegas. League expansion into Columbus? Give me a break. This idiot is ruining the NHL and he deserves to be shot. Move a team to where you'll make money, not to where the most money being offered is.

Honestly, I agree with you Itzasz. They should downsize the American part of the league. Get rid of St. Louis and Phoenix and move them to Winnipeg and Quebec. St. Louis becomes the Winnipeg Jets and Phoenix becomes the Nordiques. Than we take the the Panthers and get rid of them totally. We than re-name Tampa, Florida Lightning, therefore increasing their already huge market.

Isles move to Halifax and the Capitals move to Saskatoon. The league will need a huge re-allignment but all in all it will be better for the sport. More Canadian teams, less south American teams with less competition for the American teams to thrive.

America can do ok without competition in ANY market. For example Florida and Tampa, Tampa thrives, Florida sucks. An even better one, Rangers and Islanders, both good teams, Rangers thrive money-wise and Isles suck. Get rid of all competition. Than, move teams to Canada where they are GUARANTEED to do well.

So to sum it up:

Washington- Saskatoon Moose
Isles- Halifax Citadels
St. Louis- Quebec Nordiques
Phoenix- Winnipeg Jets
Nashville- Hartford Whalers

No more expansions, no more competition in markets besides with NJ and NYR which isin't even that bad.

Chicago will stay as it is part of the original six. And they really do get behind the Blackhawks, but only when they are doing good. When they suck like they are right now, the city doesn't care. But I had always thought about a maritime team, putting it in Halifax or some place in the centre would be ideal for fans from PEI, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

All right, move the Coyotes to Quebec to become the Nordiques. Nobody cares about Phoenix anyway.

And St. Louis isn't moving anywhere because they have something like a 15 year lease on their arena. It would cost them a fortune to leave.
