Sports can be stressful, no doubt. It's right in line with your level of passion.

I think my favorite hockey vid game ever (haven't played NHL 09 yet) was NHL 98 on Playstation. That's still in my top 2 best sports games ever, with the most pumped-up incredible intro that was SO good I watched it every time I loaded the game. I thought the game was really fun and had fantastic balance.

Nothing like having the Canucks up by two going into the third and then having the CPU score on you twice within a minute to get your panties in a twist! LOL

I know there are times when I wish I wasn't a diehard fan, but I know there's no way I can get away from it. I'm a Bruins fan for life and will follow them no matter how good or bad they do.

I don't totally hate the fair weather fans who just follow the team when it's good, but I can't stand bandwagon fans. I can't see how it can be fun changing your allegiance on a regular basis just so you can say that you're a fan of the "top" team in the league, or the "best" player in the league.

I share an equal contempt for bandwagon types myself.

Being a life-long Seahawk fan (since the beginning in 1976-77), I know how it is to suffer thru bad seasons and continual disappointment. We sucked for a loooong time. But, we were always exciting

Cheers to the long-suffering, die hard fans of all sports!

NHL.com - News: Rangers prospect dies during game in Russia - 10/14/2008

Not a great way to have the season start off, especially since that the second teenaged hockey player to just basically up-and-die within the last year(Mickey Renaud of the Windsor Spitfires was the other one). And he had been breaking Russian scoring records for a player of his age set by the likes of Ovechkin and Bure.

Gotta be hard on the Ranger's organization since he was pretty much their top prospect. Plus with the KHL trying to establish itself as a rival league to the NHL this sure can't help that either.
