haha at the viral marketer, anyways I don't think the movie industry is crazy enough to put money into another format, for the new format to even get credibility they'd need to gather exclusive backing and with HD-DVD and Blu-Ray contracts that will be hard to do and even there were a chance for them to do so would they have the money to buy an exclusive contract? sorry didn't look at who was the main backer of it, not to mention what if movie industry said fuck yall we'll take our chances with HD-DVD and Blu-Ray, I mean hell they'd be crazy to sank money into another HD format as the first 2 are floundering around as DVD still is around kicking ass and taking names.

Yes, but those will degrade over a few years. Only suitable for short-term storage and moving data from hard drive to hard drive. Don't you think we'll have hard drives over 100TB soon enough?

While it sounds interesting, if they get the price point far enough ahead of the two major competitors and can get the studios support, this format will take off like 5$ DVD players on Black Friday.

If this was ever to pick up enough steam, HD-DVD and Blu-ray would have no choice but to join up to crush it because of how cheap it is... purple boxes...
