I'm not sure I'll have to find out.

Anyone know of a way to find out how large your power supply is without going inside your computer?

Yea I think you can check it in the control panel under system, or maybe msconfig, or one of those comp programs.

If you had no problems with the 6800, this 7800 will probably be fine, unless you're at the bare minimum required for the card, which is like 400 (which you can only REALLY get away with that if you are only using 1 disc drive, and the PSU is good quality).

Nope. Power supplies are surprisingly lacking in monitoring. The best you can do in BIOS or Windows is to monitor the voltages being delivered to the motherboard but that in no way tells you what the maximum rating for your power supply is. The only way to know is to open up the case and take a look.

On the bright side of things, nVidia has recently announced a new enthusiast specification that'll put a USB port into power supplies for monitoring. One of the things that can be queried is the maximum rating for said power supply.

AGP is dead. What ATI does is use another chip to convert PCI-E to AGP for their AGP cards. There are a lot of AGP systems out there and surprisingly it isn't that big of a limitation for a single card.

My fucking tag on my power supply is blocked, so I can't read it.
