Default Awesome AGP Video Card for 100$ OBO

I will sell you my Geforce 7800 GS from EVGA, fastest AGP card ever made, perfect for those that have machines that are 3+ years old and don't have the cash to switch out motherboards to take advantage of PCI-X cards, or for those with a 2nd PC that doesn't support PCI X-press cards, or is a dual PCI X-Press/AGP board.

480Mhz core clock and 1300Mhz memory clock, awesome performance for an AGP card, you can find awesome benchmarks and stuff about it. Will play any game nowadays, including Crysis.

Card is in terrific shape, runs as good as the day I put it in the PC for the first time. Paid 320$ for it when I bought it back in May of 06.

Asking 100$ for it. Will accept reasonable offers. Also will consider a discount if you also want to trade a lower grade AGP card for it, like a Geforce 6 series card. Need the cash, I just dont really do PC gaming anymore, my 360/PS2/Wii/DS combo covers my gaming needs. Shipping everything of card including box.

Help me out here guys.

Good luck finding someone who has an AGP system with a power supply powerful enough to run that thing...plus anyone who still has an AGP system probably isnt someone who is willing to go through changing a powersupply. How much power does that thing need anyway?

A decent 650 W costs about 40$, very easy to change out (you just unplug some cables, slip out the old one, slip in new one, and plug cables back in) and you only really need a 550 to run it.

It does require some power, but requires less than a Geforce 8 series card does.

This is a decent deal.. But I have seen them NEW for about $120. I think $100 may be a little high for a used one.

Also my Videocard with my 6000+ Runs on my 450Watt no problem. Why they hell does this thing require such a huge power supply

It doesn't really, you can use a 450W just like you can with any other powerful graphics card, its just that it needs to be a good 450W because crappy ones will run too inefficiently to optimally power the card. If you do at least a 550 W though, even the crappy ass power supplies will provide enough output. Basically, the rule of thumb is, whatever it REQUIRES for power, add 100 Watts and you're good no matter what.

And I did say OBO.

I'm sure the X1950 Pro is more powerful, and that comes in AGP flavour, cos Pyroninja has one.

What would be the discount if I gave you a 6800 GS?

AMD is going to release an AGP version of the Radeon HD 3850 which will claim the title of fastest AGP card without debate. The PCI-E version is arriving in about 10 days and with the AGP version due shortly afterward. These new cards will make the AGP version of the Radeon HD 2600 cheaper which are already out.
