here is my thought along the lines of solving forum problems.

i think an official request needs to get to the owners somehow to make phoenix a FULL admin, not this nerfed up shit with no real power he is right now. we are talking full reign over the site, but the site stays owned by dennis and co. i know this isnt exactly the most opportune time for this now that phoenix is on a leave of absence, but i really think he is about the only person here capable of doing it. neowolf would be a decent person for this, but he sort of fizzled out. i think this is the best thing we can hope for in our present situation as the new owners look like they are content to be even less active than james and most likely will not be selling the site any time soon.

Well when you guys said Superbowl ads I thought of making some kind of youtube video and circulating it everywhere somehow. Then I thought we need to make it worthwhile to come and check this site once a day somehow. Arcade is cool...how about the smart ones pull together and make an exclusive game. You can have Mario, Master Chief, and Snake all duking it out in some game. Put it up in game sites with a lot of traffic and have links all over the place.

Gaming news is so outdated too. If we could have gaming news posted A.S.A.P. and have it all neatly organized it would be great...

Our reviews...are wow. Bland and boring. No pictures. Just a wall of text from any guy that bought the game. Let's try and get our gaming reviews up to a somewhat credible amount. Why can anyone post a review and it making front page? Why can't we have a forum where all the members have a chance to make a review, people will look it over and if looks like a decent review we post it. We can have 2 reviews per game one on each "end" that conflict with each other. This way someone can see the good things and the bad things.

If only we could somehow get test copies of games or exclusive information on upcoming games. We need to build some sort of relations with game devs...

First of all get a new admin, then fix the numbers. That's where we need to start with. Why this site was even made in the first place...

How can anyone say the admins don't put any time into this site? I see 2 to 3 new ads put up every week or so. There's lots of effort put in to help bring home the bacon.

Seriously though, this is nearly futile. The admins bought this site to make money, and all the effort theyve put into it so far has been to make it the biggest cashcow possible. If they put even a portion of that into actually making the site better for users, then maybe people would be more inclined to join. But as it stands, the admins are content to have lurkers rake in the money, and I'm sure they aren't prepared to sell their cashcow anytime soon.

If you really want to revolt, set up an ad block website or extension for firefox and turn it into a sticky. Im sure the admins will start paying attention then.

not to say that we dont need new members, but when i look around, i think that it may be that alot of the really senior members (the ones who are very regular here and involved in the community) think that we are not getting any new members because we dont count alot of the newer crew based on the fact that we dont know them nearly as well as the older members. look around a bit, there really are a TON of newer people around here that arent considered regulars by alot of the senior crew, even though they are around quite often.

to those of you in that group, we dont tend to recognize you like we should, but you ARE an important part of the community, and we dont want you going anywhere! eventually we will recognize you!
