a guy that posted in here today saying he was new, its since been deleted.



anyways, i was looking at the alexa data on this site, and we had a big spike at the beginning of october that i think was a combination of a very important NPD and the site being sold. (dennis joined Oct. 16th) now if you look at the reach of NGW (that is, the number of users) from oct 16th to now, you will see that we are roughly 1/3 the size we were just 5 months ago. at the current rate, we will hit zero by the time summer hits. personally i didnt think we were going to manage to survive summer anyways. now im quite sure of it. also, if you look at the graph, before they bought the site, we were quite static for the entire summer, neither growing nor shrinking. then look at the slope change once we hit Oct 16.



this site is going to die. if we stay here, it will die in about 3 months. if we leave, we may die much sooner, but at the very least, we will have the possibility of growing anew. phoenix emailed dennis last week. im quite sure he has seen the email by now and guess what? last activity January 28. he isnt going to do shit. we need to leave, and we need to actually follow through with it when we hit out ultimatum date of april.

Hmm...seems to be quite a spike around NPD time every month. I guess that is a strenth that we really need to play off of, whether we leave here or not.

Im going to have to agree with you...we need to start making plans now if we are to survive a move. I know April was decided on, and I myself have even said sit on your hands until April, but looking at the data, we just cant afford to do that. Matt has already said he can host himself, no problem. And we know there are plenty of members who will financially contribute. We need to have a set plan by the end of next week.
