New Member Initiative

NGW Sig Image: Puting this in the first post so its easy for people to find if they have yet to add it to their sigs for other sites they are members of.


Even though I am a senior, but still regular member, I feel compelled to start this initiative. It is apparent that the new admin is not doing a whole lot that we as regular members to see, and in that I can assume he is not doing much in general. Now this does not go over to our MODS, who I believe are awesome, and I love you all.

But there is one thing this site needs more then anything else, and that is new blood in the forums. This month has seen a few notable additions to regular posters, and hopefully they will stay. But as someone who has been around for a while, I can say we need new people, and this is what this thread is about.

We need new members who will regularly post and add useful content to this site if we are going to not only stay around, but also be financially viable to keep up. Many of you may not think of this on a day to day basis, but the reason this site is up is because of its traffic, and with that traffic comes adds, which make income to keep it up, and we are dying out. If we dont have any users, this place that many of us love so much will die. As of now this is not a critical problem, but an issue none the less, and I am taking preemptive initiative before it becomes a major problem

So, I am creating user based initiate to help the site get some new users, and help ALL of us out as a whole. This is by far the best online community ive ever been a part of, and I dont want this site to go down. Again, I am coming from a USERS perspective, and what we as USERS can do to help the site. Please post your suggestions for POSITIVE advertisement for the site.

Obviously the first thing that comes to mind is putting a simple NGW link/image/image link in your sig on another site that you are a member of. If all of us do this very simple thing, it will bring many curious people to the site (like I was originally), so they can see what we have to offer, and hopefully they will like what they see and stay.

Again I am not doing this in spite of our Admin of MODS, I am doing this because nobody else will take the initiative to do it. Support from the MODS is what I am hoping for, same goes for the Admin (if he shows his face ever)

So please, discuss ways in which we can bring new people this site, and keep it on topic and positive. This site has a lot of potential, and our "close knitness" (yeah, I put a ness in there) is what makes this community great, help us to save it.

Yeah, ill try to add a ngw banner to my other sigs. And see what happens.

We could also go for Tv adds.

Yeah well if we had more members and traffic, the site could make more money, and mabey we could do that. Thats the whole point. We want to do a lot of cool things with the site, we have great ideas, but as of now the site just dosent have the income/exposure to do things like cool interviews or a pod cast.

Alright, well its good to hear that some members are willing to help the site, this is what I was hoping for. I guess since as users the only thing we can really do is post in our sigs on other sites. Hopefully this will get the attention of the admin and mods, so they can also take initiative that we cant.

Does anyone who is good with photoshp want to make something that we can put in our sigs? As of now this is what I would recommend.
(although it needs updating since the Wii has surpassed the 360)
Out sites logo. And if you know how, make it clickable link. If any of you know how to do that would you like to tell us how to make it a link, for those users who dont know how (me included)

What this site needs is an administrator who will actually pay attention to the needs of its users.
I propose something drastic needs to be done. Perhaps even something as drastic as all of use leaving this site and going to start one up a new one. I am tired of irresponsible administrators.
