gaming news poll - Page 2

I preferred it when people just posted a new thread for news, or posted it in the official thread.

yeah, so i actually tried to submit news the other day and god damn, that is a right pain in the ass. first you have to select whether its actually news even though you already selected the 'submit news' tab on the drop down menu, they you have to choose what type of news as if we actually get enough to merit separating the news into like 15 different sections, then we have to write our name. what the fuck? this is why it needs to be tied directly to the forum, that way it would already know who is posting it. then it needs our email address, and i have to ask WHY? do they want my credit card number and SSN next? then a title, the first ACTUAL thing on there we should have to worry about filling out. then an introtext/maintext image? wft? why cant we just image tag something in the actual text? and for that matter, why the hell are there TWO text areas?

this thing is the most redundant and completely over the top news section i have ever seen. we are a SMALL forum, we do not need a news poster geared towards a forum the size of gaf.

i actually liked the old version. it was simple, easy, and tied to the forums. this current thing is a joke

I don't really see the point of the news section, most people post news relating to a specific console in their forums.

A news section in general is a joke. All you need to do is post it in the forum. Making me click a link out of the forum to read the news was pointless...
