| People thought the same thing until Iowa.

| Well, just because some of the states in the bible belt have been "left behind" socially, that doesn't mean they don't have a lot of minority citizens that can still make a difference. But if they don't like Obama, they aren't going to like Hilary either. It doesn't matter anyway because those states usually go Republican. |

| I'd say the bible belt is almost 50% of the country. I'm not saying all the people in the bible belt are racist, but the majority of the bible belt won't let the US have a black president. Factor in people outside of the bible belt that share the same view, and the odds are stacked against him, not because of his views, but simply because of the colour of his skin. It's a shame that such a down-to-earth candidate shouldn't be given a fair chance. Of all the candidates, I like him the best. He seems very, well, ordinary. I think of all the candidates, Hilary stands the best chance. Huckabee has a bad attitude, Romney is a Mormon zealot, and Ron Paul's supporters have been annoying the shit out of everyone for months. None of the other candidates have as much backing as those. I can't see why people dislike Hilary so much. Apart from the whole "Video games r bad kthx" stuff, she seems OK. Quote:

| I'm going to vote libertarian or green party, I think. And no, that isn't actually throwing your vote away, I'm sure somebody's bound to say that it is. |

| We'll just have to wait and see, but I don't think Obama is going to do as bad in the Bible Belt as you say.
