I'll also say that aside from the two overtime periods they've played so far, I've been rather stress free during this series. I think the combination of them already having made it further than anyone expected, and the fact that they are huge underdogs really helps get rid of the stress of the playoffs for me as a fan.

Yeah...when your team's an underdog, it relieves a lot of the stress. Yesterday's Rangers game was a heartbreaker for me. I was pretty upset about it.

I'm cheering for the B's, though. I think they can do it!

Pretty much the only "highlight" of the Rangers game they spent much time with on CBC was Sean Avery goading Brodeur. It was kind of funny looking, but at the same time shouldn't be allowed.

When he was face guarding him on the power play? That was funny and I was surprised Brodeur didn't punch him in the face. There usually aren't many highlights besides people getting knocked around in a NYR/NJ game.

I'm not a huge fan of Avery, but I don't mind him when he's getting on the OTHER team's nerves...which is pretty much constantly.

Yep, that one. The CBC guys were saying that he should have been given a 10 minute misconduct since all he was trying to do was get someone to take a penalty. I'm not sure, but on one replay it looked like another Ranger actually tapped him on the shoulder, as if to say "OK, cut it out please".

I wouldn't mind seeing the Bruins vs. the Rangers and have Avery try something like that with Chara.

Yeah, sometimes Avery goes over the line...especially with Brodeur. The rule is you stay away from the other team's goalie, but Avery is always bumping Brodeur and getting in his face. I wasn't sure if that should've been a penalty or not on the power play, but either way I thought it was kinda cheap. He wasn't touching Brodeur, though...just making things difficult for him. Not sure what the rules are on that.

Chara would smash Avery, but Avery wouldn't stand up to him toe to toe. He'd give him little annoying shoves and pokes and stuff here and there. Avery rarely gets into an actual fight and usually chooses to check people when they're not looking. Yeah, he's dirty, but every team's got one. The fact that he's dirty and scores a lot is why they love him so much in NY.

For a misconduct it pretty much just requires a player to be warned by a ref about an action he is taking, and then continues to do it that could incite someone to take a penalty.

Avery is kind of like Claude Lemieux in many ways, and let's just say that when Cam Neely had enough of him, he didn't care that all Lemieux could do was curl up in a ball on the ice. I miss Neely. Just about every person who has been called a "power forward" since he retired has been an insult to him.

I should also mention that Dennis sent me a PM here yesterday. Apparently he still wants to talk to me on Messenger.

Since I've never seen Avery get into an actual fight, I couldn't say what he'd do. Never seen him back down to anyone though.

What does he want to talk about?

No idea. He just said that we'd never got in touch. I guess I might do it today or tomorrow although I really don't know what we'll be discussing. About the only suggestion I have for this site now is to get everything working properly, and then start over. Redo and relaunch the site and hope it attracts an audience. It's all but dead at the moment, so he has nothing to lose.
