Yeah Blender is pretty great and it's free! But I still prefer 3Ds Max and Maya, much easier to port to a 3rd party program like Zbrush!

Another upside for Blender is that there are a lot of free online tutorials and books. Maya you have to pay for the software and books, which is hard for a student on a budget like me.

There is nothing I hate in life more than VS2005, I had to use it for a course on Network Programming in C#
I hated everything about the environment and the language. And what I hated more than anything else, it is Windows-only

I'm so glad I don't have to use it ever again
