ok, here is how this is settled. Have them take another picture of the exact same spot, at the exact same time of day. If its still there, its a rock, if its not, then its open for further investigation.

If it is still there it is still deserves an investigation. It is still an unusually-shaped rock.

Dont be one of those people who falls for that virgin mary in a grilled cheese sandwich kind of stuff. Our brains are wired to try and find stuff familiar that we can recognize. Its just a rock, or a shadow or something, its not worth spending millions of our tax dollars to chase an optical illusion.

The face on Mars is a key example.

"OMFG!!1 IT'S A FACE! MARTIANS!"

Sadly, this too was an optical illusion and only appeared when the illumination was just right.

Also, I really like this, it's a true colour shot of Victoria Crater on Mars.

56K WARNING!! NO, SERIOUSLY.

12,200 × 1,920 pixels!

oh man, that thing is even loading slow for me! A 12" monitor is no way to view a 12,200x1,920 image.

First time I've seen a %-of-download-completion bar when saving a picture.
