Yes, Socialism is a disaster... Look at most of Europe and to the north in Canada. Socialism is terrible.

Sarcasm aside I'm sure if I was wealthy I would think other wise. But, I'm not going to sit here and feel bad for 15% of our population that are crushing the other 85%...

any socialist system fails as it is inhertinaly evil.

just look at the USA's socialist Police force & Fire Service and see how they cower in fear compared to the might of your superior capitalist healthcare system, why pay for someone elses injurys when you already pay for if there robbed or there house burns down... and if you do become ill yourself dont worry your health insurence will simply takecare of you, making sure that you understand that all the treatment you need is counted as experimental and refused, then you have no choice but to pay or be thrown out the hospital.

its the perfect system everybody wins all hail the faliure of socialism

Raising wages or the minimum wage has exactly the opposite effect your looking for, meaning you raise someones pay you now have to charge more for your products than you did yesterday. This hurts the less fortunate more than anything bcuz now they have more money but what they need to buy costs more usually alot more. So they now end up with less in their pockets. This could lead to even worse things. lets say I own a small business and employ 10 people and then all the sudden someone comes in and say well now you have to pay them all more. What am i gonna do to cut costs? 1. Raise the prices I charge for my goods and services(which could hurt me in the long run by losing me customers) or 2. I will fire some employees to keep my prices the same but then i make my employees work harder for the loss of the fired people(employees become unhappy). So this answer doesnt EVER work
That's why waiting so long to raise the wage is a problem. Companies have had 10 years to get used to what they are paying employees. Not too mention, prices have already been getting more expensive for consumers anyways. We've basically inflated a good portion of the populace into poverty by refusing to pay them more when the price of oil has tripled, housing has doubled in price, and food has increased in price. Should we refuse to raise wages for 10 more years and see where that puts us? Maybe we can be just like China.

Yeah, a system where everyone is equal is a terrible. Oh and to keep up the sarcasm, redistributing your wealth is definitely a terrible idea when 12% of your population are below the poverty line and the top 1% of the population control 38% of the wealth (top 10% control 71%).
