Digital SLR or PC upgrade.

Get the PC upgrade if you aren't a hardcore photo dude who brings his camera everywhere and is in deathly need of something better than 3.1 MP.

Wii.

Help Nintendo rule the wooorld!

PS:Am under the impression (which could be wrong) that Blizzard never made games that required a lot from the systems on their release date.So i believe u might not be able to play ur copy of Starcraft2 on highest settings but it will run smoothly if ur pc is not like 4years old or so.

Currently it's between (random order):

1) An HD decoder for cable tv
Right now my cable company only offers a couple of HD channels like Discovery, National Geographic and a Movie Channel, but more stations are planning on HD broadcast in the near future.
Join an elite torrent website and all the stuff you want in HD, no point buying something when you can get it for free.

2) A Blu-ray player
Being able to watch BBC's Planet Earth in 1080p is enough reason to buy a Blu-ray player. But they're still a bit expensive (cheapest standalone player is €359 right now). PS3 might be an option, but that's even more expensive and I already have a 360.
Join an elite torrent website and all the stuff you want in HD, then stream it to your 360.

3) A Wii
I'd really, really like to play Super Mario Galaxy and Brawl. But that's my only motivation. The Wii can't do anything else so I'm not sure if these two games are worth spending €250.
DO NOT BUY A WII FOR A FEW GAMES. I made this mistake and ended up selling it a year later, having only played it for probably a total of 48 hours.

4) A decent digital camera
Probably the most expensive option. I'm a bit of a photography enthusiast. I have Nikon SLR that still uses 35mm. A Digital SLR would be really nice. I'm thinking Nikon D40x, D60 or D80.
Dont know the first thing about photography so cannot comment.

5) A PC upgrade
My PC is getting a bit old. Some extra memory, a new video card and a faster processor wouldn't hurt. I'd like to be able to play StarCraft 2 when it comes out.
This is the option i would go for. You can do alot more things(including things you have already mentioned), and you can play some great games that look amazing.

Everything listed will eventually come down a lot in price, except the Wii. I would get a Wii for Brawl alone( I actually did, a full year before it came out just on the Rumor it was coming in Spring) but did you like Melee? Do you like any other Wii games on it?

Personally I would get a Wii again if I didn't have one already. I would get a PC upgrade and play more games on it.

1) As power said, you are smarter getting an HDTV with cable card 2.0

2) Wait for a PS3 price cut. You might not want the system, but it has basically support for everything and then some.

3) At fist, I told a lot of people to buy them. Most of the people that did buy it loved it, but I don't think they play more than Wii Sports. If you are looking for a deeper experience, this would really be dependent on your gaming preferences. You can get 3 games + system + wii sports for what you can get a PS3 for. Then again, the PS3 has some REALLY nice games. (I don't own one, but I hear tons of stuff about "PMG! PEE-ESS-THREEEEEEEE)

4) Nikons are nice cameras. My dad is/was a professional photographer. He used the D1x. (well, he used film cameras before that, but that was his first and only digital one). If you really are going to use it, I think that would probably be the one to go with. Depends on how much you really enjoy photography [as an aside: I spent nearly 10 years working with him and didn't learn a thing about photography.]

5) depends on how old. Honestly, if it is past a certain period, you will need more than minor updates for it to be worth the money. If you are still chugging by with SD RAM and a sub gigahert processor, this might should be a priority, especially if you want to use a digital camera and any kind of picture editing program more powerful than paint. (Photoshop kills RAM.)
