It's probably best they deadminned phoenix considering he was moving people to another site. That alone was a greater attempt to kill NGW and did more harm then anything Dachen or the other site owners did. It's hypocritical of them considering how strict the old leadership was about not advertising or even mentioning other sites, they should feel lucky they arent banned. I mean advertising a site is one thing for a member to do, but when you're an admin who is breaking your own rule there's a problem. Im not even sure why we were supposed to move in the first place, who actually decided that and said that everyone else had to?

In any case, even though Ill still visit KF, I like the feel of NGW more then KF. Now that there's responsible admins/leadership in control of the site and who come by regularly I'll try to start posting more and do my best to keep the site active.

We moved because the admins here were shit and still are. Now that we left, what do they do? They make the remaining members admins and they leave again. Predictable.

Like you said, Phoenix ditched the place and announced in a thread that he and all members had left, urging all visitors and members to follow. Nothing dramatically wrong with that, considering the circumstances he worked under. But you don't honestly believe that he can do this and still retain his position when the owner finally returns? He effectively burned his bridges doing that. When Dennis finally did something, he removed a couple of the "Move" threads and then he de-modded everyone. There is a pattern to be read there.

Also if you are discontent with a site like this just leave quietly this was just an extravagant version of a "I'm leaving and not coming back" thread (just like the one Leonidas did).

Personally, I think we were banning the wrong people in most cases.

You need a few trolls on EVERY forum. As long as you can pick the ones to keep, and the ones to get rid of.

In all honesty, I use to PM mods a fair bit about leaving some trolls alone and getting rid of others. In some cases they listened, in others they didn't.

I kind of agree with you. Not that we need trolls, but the term troll is too easily applied to members who contribute with much needed temperature and controversy. I didn't agree on all the bannings that went on in the past. But I predict that not everyone will agree on every banning in the future neither.

It's not dead because you say it is. It's dead the day nobody is interested in posting here anymore. That day is not today.

When the community split, it didn't split into clearly defined "Good guys" and "Bad guys". I like a lot of you guys whether you post here or not. So, likewise, I care about what you are up to as well. I'm just not ready to join yet, maybe I will, maybe I won't.

I seriously don't understand this thread. First of all, Phoenix loved NGW. He truly did, but as for any human being, after a while, he gives up on NGW. He realized that he loved his community too much to just leave them all to scatter, all parting ways to go do whatever they do. He did all he could to get as many people as he could to go with him to KFZ, not for him. But for the NGW people. Let's face it, NGW is just a board. The members make it NGW. When he FINALLY decided to let go of NGW, that asshole Dennis comes by, de-admin's the guy and admins people who, in my opinion, did less for NGW than he did. If ANYONE deserves to be an admin, it's Phoenix.

Imagine, you have a girlfriend, and your uncle is dead. And he left you a few million bucks. You sleep for 2 minutes, and when you wake up, you realize your brother took your money, and your girlfriend left with him. The biggest backstab you could imagine has taken place here, and nobody gives a shit. I, for one, am not someone who would waste his time for something puny. But in my opinion, this is big. Bigger than you guys can imagine. Of course he's going to get angry if all his hard work is just being thrown to some members who just HAPPENED to stay active. And he didn't even get angry, he was disappointed. I would be too, it's amazing to see Phoenix go through what he went through, and still look out for his friends at their new 'home.'

If anything, I'd LOVE to have it the way they were, but that didn't happen. The new admins (Boffo, Romanc, etc) feel as if Phoenix didn't try his best on NGW. But do realize that you know have the power that he desired to use to rebuild NGW. You can now rebuild NGW, I want you guys too. But don't talk about Phoenix, just because he was genuinely trying to help, but couldn't.
